Google Business Profile verification checklist.

Before you verify, recover, or clean up a Google Business Profile, make sure the business information is consistent. Small mismatches can slow down trust, approvals, and customer confidence.

Verification readiness

Check these before you submit anything to Google.

1
Business name matches the real business

Use the name customers know. Avoid stuffing keywords, city names, or extra services into the business name unless they are legally part of the name.

2
Address or service area is accurate

If customers visit you, the address should be real and visible. If you travel to customers, use the correct service-area setup.

3
Phone number is direct and working

The listed phone number should reach the business. Missed calls, wrong numbers, or shared numbers can create trust problems.

4
Primary category is correct

The primary category tells Google what the business mainly does. Choose the closest real service, then add secondary categories only when they fit.

5
Website and profile say the same thing

Your website should support the Google profile with matching services, service areas, contact details, and business language.

6
Proof is ready

Prepare signage, business license, utility documents, branded vehicle photos, invoices, or other proof Google may request.
